I am doing what I'd thought I'd never do - enable comments on my blog again! Let's see how it goes!

I did see a kiosk of sorts at the Chennai airport where you could browse, listen and buy music of your choice and they accepted most memory card formats as well as sticks and a burn to CD option...

That sounds good. I'll keep my eyes open whenever I am at the Chennai Airport next.

I really wish Amazon's MP3 store comes to India soon. There is no investment they need to make in infrastructure/warehousing so the entry barrier should be really low. Of course there may still be complications around foreign investment regulations, but nothing like Starbucks or Walmart have had to face.

Same here. I came to India after a few years hoping to buy a large number of CDs, But I couldnt find a lot of them from my list. How the hell do i get legal music into my pocket! Moser Baer DVDs are of poor quality, I bought one and it wasnt good. I would rather shell out extra 100 or so to get non Moser Baer ones.
